Everode is a district of the municipality of Freden (Leine) in the district of Hildesheim in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

geography

Everode is located southeast of Alfeld and northeast of Freden. The village is located west of the Sackwald forest and southwest of the Ahrensberg in the eastern catchment area of ​​the Leine .

history

First mention

The place is mentioned for the first time in 996 in a deed of ownership by Bishop Bernward as Avenigeroth .

Incorporations

In July 1965, the integrated municipality of Freden (Leine) with the municipalities of Everode, Freden, Winzenburg , Eyershausen , Ohlenrode and Wetteborn was created through a voluntary merger . Meimerhausen was added on March 1, 1974 .

On November 1, 2016 Everode became part of the municipality of Freden (Leine) after the joint municipality of Freden (Leine) was dissolved.

The municipality was awarded the municipal coat of arms on December 21, 1934 by the Prussian State Ministry . The district administrator from Alfeld presented it on January 2, 1935.

Justification of the coat of arms: The coat of arms of the community goes back to the coat of arms of the abbot of St. Michael in Hildesheim , Gabriel Feusch (Feisch), attached to the former "Paterhof" . Everode belonged to the founding estate of the abbey mentioned in 1022 and was in close economic and constitutional connection with it for centuries through the Paterhof.
