The Étoile Carouge FC , commonly known in German-speaking countries as Étoile Carouge , is a Swiss football club from Carouge near Geneva . Étoile Carouge was created in 1904 from the merger of the clubs Étoile Sportive and FC Carouge .
The club played a total of 12 seasons in the top division of Switzerland, the last time in the 1997/98 season. For the 2011/12 season, he was promoted to the Challenge League , but this was followed by direct relegation to the newly installed 1st League Promotion . In the 2015/16 season , Étoile Carouge rose to the first division. They rose again for the 2019/2020 season.
