Hazards and protective measures
Problems in the protected area arise from uncontrolled vegetation. Particularly in the fens, the spread of reeds poses a risk that the associated changes in the habitat will displace the native species. Accordingly, the overgrown reeds must be removed regularly. The spread of the invasive neophyte glandular balsam, which has so far only appeared to a limited extent, must also be kept under control. The deviation of the visitors from the designated sightseeing paths should be prevented by appropriate restrictions. An uncontrolled withdrawal of water by the Palvico , which flows out of the lake and is used to generate electricity downstream, must also be stopped in advance.
