Fabian Quoss (born April 9, 1982 in Nuremberg ) is a former professional German poker player .

Quoss studied at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , but dropped out due to his poker career. He lives in London .

Career

Quoss played online under the nickname fabstinho . From 2008 to 2017 he took part in renowned live tournaments .

In June 2009 , Quoss was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and took second place in a tournament in the No Limit Hold'em variant . He missed winning a Bracelets narrowly and received a cash prize of 400,000 US dollars . In September 2010 he won the English Poker Open in London with a prize money equivalent to around 340,000 dollars. In mid-August 2011, Quoss also won the German Championship of Poker in Rozvadov , which brought him around 90,000 euros . In early February 2013, he reached the final table of the A $ 250,000 Challenge of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in Melbourne and finished the tournament in third place for a purse of Australian dollars 750,000 . In January 2014, Quoss won the Super High Roller Event of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventures as part of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in the Bahamas and received his highest prize money of over 1.5 million dollars for this achievement. In late January 2016, he won the A $ 100,000 Challenge for around $ 1 million in the Aussie Millions and finished fourth in the A $ 250,000 Challenge for another $ 680,000 just seven days later .
