Viktor "Isildur1" Blom (born September 26, 1990 in Rånäs , Norrtälje ) is a professional Swedish poker player . He was known for his unusually high return on investment and high-stakes play on Full Tilt Poker .

Poker career

On-line

On September 16, 2009, Blom played for the first time on the online poker platform Full Tilt Poker under his user name Isildur1 . He challenged well-known professional players like Phil Ivey , Tom Dwan or Patrik Antonius in the highest possible stakes. By November 15, 2009, Blom had made a profit of around five million US dollars . However, his very aggressive way of playing poker and his poor bankroll management meant that he quickly gambled away the money he won and even emptied his account by October 2010. In the first two weeks of 2013, Blom again won over $ 3.5 million playing high-stakes games on Full Tilt Poker . At times, his profit even exceeded $ 5.1 million.

Blom was involved in the twelve largest pots ever played in online poker . The largest he lost 21 November 2009 against Antony worth 1,356,947 US dollars . From January 2011 to August 2012, Blom was sponsored by PokerStars as a Team Pro . From October 2012 he was a representative of the reopened platform Full Tilt Poker .

In January 2012, Blom won the PCA Super High Roller . His first win at a live tournament earned him a prize of more than $ 1.25 million. In June 2012 Blom was the first time in the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas successful, reaching at an event of the variant No-Limit Hold'em as well as the Poker Player's Championship , the money ranks. At the beginning of May 2014 he finished second in a high roller as part of the European Poker Tour in Monte-Carlo for almost 130,000 euros in prize money.
