Max Altergott (born January 20, 1991 ) is a professional German - Russian poker player .

Personal

Altergott played soccer as a striker in the youth division of 1. FC Köln and was featured five times in the B-Junioren-Bundesliga West in 2007 (one goal). He then worked for the regional division Alemannia Lendersdorf until autumn 2013 . Altergott lives in London .

Poker career

Altergott plays online under the nicknames altiFC ( PokerStars ) and KidPoker705 ( Full Tilt Poker ) . He has been taking part in renowned live tournaments since 2013.

In mid-May 2013, Altergott won the super high roller event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Monte-Carlo . For this he prevailed against 41 other players and received a prize of around 1.75 million euros . Beginning in October 2013 he was in London for the first time the EPT Main Event successfully and finished the tournament in 56th place for more than 10,000 British pounds . In May 2015, he again reached two final tables at high roller events in Monte-Carlo and collected over a million euros within a week. At the end of June 2015 , Altergott placed in the money for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and finished 16th in the High Roller for One Drop for around 250,000 US dollars . In mid-July 2016 , he cashed for the first time at the WSOP Main Event , finishing 193rd for more than $ 40,000 in prize money.

Altogether, Altergott has earned more than 5.5 million US dollars with poker in live tournaments.
