Studies and acting

Florence Delay, daughter of the neurologist , psychiatrist and writer Jean Delay , who was also a member of the Académie française between 1959 and 1987, studied Iberological Philology at the University of Paris after attending the Lycée Jean-de-La-Fontaine .

During her studies she worked as an actress and played under the maiden name of her mother (Florence Carrez) in 1962 the leading role of Joan of Arc in the film Procès de Jeanne d'Arc by Robert Bresson .
