Florian Stanek

Florian Stanek (born February 2, 1988 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor , singer and author .

Live and act

Florian Stanek grew up in Eichgraben near Vienna and attended the Sacré Coeur Pressbaum high school . From 2008 to 2012 he studied at the Conservatory Vienna Private University (today: MUK) in the department of musical entertainment theater. From 2012 to 2013 he attended Jacques Lecoq's École Internationale de Théâtre in Paris .

Florian Stanek's first engagements took him to the Baden stage , the Dschungel Wien and the Next Liberty Graz as well as the Graz Opera . In 2016 he took on the role of hooked finger jacob in Bertolt Brecht's Die Dreigroschenoper at the Theater an der Wien alongside Tobias Moretti , Angelika Kirchschlager and Anne Sofie von Otter .

In 2017 he played the title role in Peter Lund's and Thomas Zaufke's musical Puss in Boots at the Graz Opera and received the German Musical Theater Prize 2018 in the category “Best Actor”.

In 2018 Florian Stanek took over the role of Harry Houdini in the musical Ragtime at the Graz Opera, which was awarded the Austrian Music Theater Prize 2019 as "Best Overall Musical Production". In 2019 he played the role of Rudolf Ephrussi in the world premiere of Der Hase mit dem Bernsteinaugen at the Landestheater Linz , which was awarded the German Musical Theater Prize 2019 as “Best Musical”.

Since 2019 he can be seen as conférencier in the musical Cabaret in the Berlin Tipi at the Chancellery .

Florian Stanek's writing began in 2008 with a contribution to the revue of the Viennese cabaret Simpl Ein große Gwirks . This was followed by musical theater libretti for the Vienna Conservatory and the Bad Freienwalde spa theater . In 2016 he worked as a writer for the ORF sketch show "Kalahari Gemsen" with Ramesh Nair and Angelika Niedetzky .

In 2016, his play The Imaginary Sick - The Musical (music: Sebastian Brandmeir ) won the media and audience awards at the MUT authors' competition at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich . In 2018 he again received the audience award of the MUT authors' competition together with Sebastian Brandmeir for the family musical "Die fearlichen Fünf" , which was produced in the following season at the Next Liberty children's and youth theater in Graz .

In 2018 and 2019 Florian Stanek worked as an author for the Kittsee summer festival and edited the operas Le nozze di Figaro and Carmen .
