Frank Riede

Frank Riede (born July 13, 1967 in Cloppenburg ) is a German theater , film and television actor and theater director .

Life

After graduating from high school, Riede studied theater studies, German literature and philosophy at the Frankfurt Johann Wolfgang Goethe University , especially with Hans-Thies Lehmann , before after three semesters in 1989, after passing the entrance exam at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts , in the drama department , changed to complete his acting training there.

During his training, Riede founded the first German theater fanzine “fake - bühne & bildschirm” in 1989 with his theater studies colleague Stefan Pucher as publisher and editor , which they published quarterly until 1993. In addition, Riede wrote repeatedly for the Frankfurter Rundschau .

After graduating from drama school, Riede led his first engagement at the Cologne theater under the artistic direction of Günter Krämer . From 1993 to 1996 he was a member of the ensemble there.

This was followed by engagements at Theater Krefeld (1996-97), Schauspiel Leipzig (1999–2001), Theater Freiburg (2002–2004), guest engagements a. a. TAT Frankfurt, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Sophiensaele Berlin, Schaubühne Berlin, Gorki Theater Berlin.

Since 2005 Riede has been working as a freelance actor again, in 2006 under the direction of Uwe Hergenröder at the Osnabrück Theater as Ross in Edward Albee's “Die Ziege” and at the Berlin Maxim Gorki Theater in “Job”. 2007/08 leading role in Carl Sternheim's "Bürger Schippel" at the Heilbronn Theater in a production by Katja Wolff.
