Franzenmühle is a district of the market Schopfloch in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Mühlgraben, an upper course of the Hellenbach , which is a left tributary of the Wörnitz . A communal road leads to Köhlau (0.9 km northeast) or Dickersbronn (0.3 km southwest).

history

In 1606 the place was first mentioned in a document as "Dickersbronner Dorfmühle". The current name has probably only been in use since the 19th century.

The Fraisch was disputed between the Oettingen-Spielberg Oberamt Dürrwangen , the Ansbach Oberamt Feuchtwangen and the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl . The basic rule about the mill had held the dinkel bühler citizens Bühlmeyer and Rothmund.

As a result of the municipal edict, Franzenmühle was assigned to the Schopfloch tax district and the Lehengütingen rural community in 1809 . With the second community edict (1818) it was assigned to the newly formed rural community Dickersbronn . On May 1, 1978 Franzenmühle was incorporated into Schopfloch as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
