Friedrich Hans Gloxin
Friedrich Hans Gloxin (born May 11, 1635 in Schleswig , † July 7, 1684 in Glückstadt ) was a German administrative lawyer, Gottorfischer councilor and curator of the University of Kiel .
Life
Friedrich Hans Gloxin was a son of the ducal Gottorfischen councilor Balthasar Gloxin and his wife Margarete, geb. Jügert, daughter of the Gottorf court councilor Peter Jügert (1567–1639). His uncle was the mayor of Lübeck, David Gloxin . He attended the cathedral school in Schleswig and the school of scholars in the Bordesholm monastery . From August 1651 he studied law, first at the University of Rostock , then at the University of Altdorf . In 1656 he was recorded as a respondent at the University of Helmstedt ; 1657 he was at the University of Rinteln to Dr. jur. PhD. A longer study trip to Belgium, Great Britain and France followed.
On September 2, 1654, he inherited the prebend of his recently deceased father, one of the so-called distinctive praisees of the Lübeck cathedral chapter , and thus became canon of the Lübeck cathedral .
After Andreas Cramer became chamber councilor in 1665, Duke Christian Albrecht appointed Gloxin as his successor to court and chancellery in September 1666. In August 1672, the Duke appointed the two oldest ducal councilors Johann von Hatten and Friedrich Hans Gloxin jointly as curators of the University of Kiel, which was only founded in 1665.
In the growing conflict between Gottorf and Denmark, he changed sides at the beginning of the Northern War (1674–1679) in 1674 and went to the government chancellery of the Duchy of Holstein in Glückstadt as a royal Danish councilor and chancellor .
Since 1661 he was married to Sophia Augusta († July 8, 1674), b. Schacht, a daughter of the Gottorfische secretary Eilhard Schacht. From 1676 he was married to Maria Elisabeth, geb. Cramer, a daughter of Andreas Cramer. In 1679 he had a family crypt built in the Schleswig Cathedral . The annex on the south wall of the first choir bay, the door of which is decorated with richly designed wrought iron fittings, has served as a sacristy since 1894.
His preamble went to Christian August von Berkenthin (1666–1734), Schleswig-Holstein privy councilor, heir to Lütgenhof and father of Christian August von Berkentin .
