Funkenmühle is part of the municipality of Lindenbrück , a district of the city of Zossen in the Teltow-Fläming district ( Brandenburg ). Funkenmühle, originally an independent municipality, was annexed to Jachzenbrück, which later became Lindenbrück, as early as 1874.

Geographical location

The Funkenmühle part of the municipality is only about two kilometers north of the center of Lindenbrück on the eastern shore of Lake Wolziger . In 1860 the district comprised 404 Magdeburgische Morgen (approx. 103 ha). Of this, 4 mg were accounted for by homesteads, 60 mg for fields, 40 mg for meadows, 100 mg for pasture and 200 mg for forest. Lindenbrück is located in the southern and southeastern part of the urban area of Zossen.

history

Funkenmühle was first mentioned in a document in 1583 ("the Funckenn Moller"). Back then, as the name implies, the place actually consisted of a watermill with one aisle. This was on the river that runs from the Kleiner Möggelinsee to the Wolziger See , shortly before its confluence with the Wolziger See. At that time it belonged to the Zossen office, which had emerged from the Zossen rule . Fields and meadows belonged to the mill, and the miller had to provide a horse. In 1623 the mill included 25 acres of 90 square rods of old fields, 11 mg 370 QR new fields, 3 old meadows at 7 mg 42 QR and 1 new meadow at 3 mg 70 QR. In addition, certain fishing rights were included on Lake Wolziger. In 1655, 20 head of cattle and 100 sheep were allowed to be kept. Presumably, the spark mill was already given as a fief at the time of the first documentary mention. From the beginning of the 17th century to the beginning of the 18th century, the feudal men are known by name:

  • H. Pardemann (1615-1647)
  • H. Plüntz (1647–1661)
  • J. Beetz and Erben (1661–1723)

Then the mill fell back to the office and was managed as an official mill. In 1745, the Funkenmühle is known as the Vorwerk , which, in addition to the watermill, includes a sheep farm with a shepherd's house and a wine master's house. The Schmettau'sche map from the years 1767–1787 shows no vineyards (any more). In 1787 the actual Funkenmühle settlement was founded and given to colonists from Saxony.

In 1801 there were already 7 Büdner residents in Funkenmühle; Funkenmühle had a total of 11 fireplaces. In 1840 11 houses were counted. In 1853 the leasehold farm owned by the Gerber brothers was auctioned off in Funkenmühle. In 1860 the place consisted of 9 residential houses and 14 farm buildings; and the place had 41 inhabitants. In 1874 the previously independent community was incorporated into Jachzenbrück. This ends the independent history of the place. The district also merged into the Jachzenbrück district. The residents were like the residents of Jachzenbrück (= Lindenbrück) in Wünsdorf .
