Horstfelde (until 1937 Dergischow ) is part of the town of Zossen in the Brandenburg district of Teltow-Fläming in Germany .

On December 31, 1997, Horstfelde had initially merged with the communities of Glienick and Schünow to form the new (large) community of Glienick. In 2003, Glienick and Horstfelde were incorporated into the town of Zossen by law as part of the municipal reform in Brandenburg . At the time of the first documentary mention, it belonged to the Zossen rule .

It borders on Schünow in the west, Glienick in the north, next Neuendorf in the north-east (all three places are districts of the city of Zossen) and in the south-east on the district of the core town of Zossen. Adjacent to the south is the district of Saalow , a district of the municipality of Am Mellensee . The district has an area of 838  hectares , 367 people lived here at the end of December 2010.

Place name

The place was called Dergischow until 1937 and was first mentioned in 1430 as Dergischaw . According to the village structure, it was a round village . Gerhard Schlimpert interprets the name as Slavic origin, as "the place / place where the flax is fluted". An older interpretation as a derivation from a personal name * Dargoš, because of a document from 1655 as Dargisow , he considers unlikely. On October 20, 1937 Dergischow was renamed "Horstfelde" as part of the National Socialist Germanization of Sorbian place names. It did not get its original name back even after the end of the Second World War.

Local history

According to the inheritance register of the Zossen office from 1583, the village had "since ancient times" 24 Hufen , which were cultivated by eleven farmers. The Lehnschulze had four hooves, the ten other farmers two hooves each. Each hoof measured nine acres and 230 square rods and is roughly equivalent to. 4.1 hectares. The hooves were comparatively small and the division of the hooves corresponded to other villages, except that one hoof is counted as two hooves here. There were four cottages in the village, one of which had a relatively large estate of six acres and 169 square rods. Most of the taxes went to the Zossen office.

From 1515 to 1536, the Bellin zu Mittenwalde received the interest and pensions from two two-hired farmers as well as the services and the tithe from two kossas, which, however, had been merged into one farm in 1515. These property titles came to the von Bardeleben zu Großziethen and Kleinziethen in 1536. Since the 17th century this share had come back to the Zossen office. The Hüfner had to do haulage and field services to the office with a team, the Kossät only manual services. The services were to be performed on the Glienicke vineyard and to repair roads and dams. In 1624, a shepherd and a blacksmith are named in addition to the farmers and kossaers.

The Thirty Years' War does not seem to have hit Dergischow as badly as other villages in the vicinity. In 1652, eleven farmers were named again. In 1655 there were again four cottages in addition to the farmers; the village also had fishing rights, presumably in the Horstfelder See. In 1711, records mention the eleven peasants, three farmers, a blacksmith, a shepherd, a servant and two pairs of householders. In 1745 the jug that was run by Schulzen is mentioned for the first time. On the Schmettauschen map from 1767/87 there is a vineyard southwest of the village. In 1771 the place had 14 gables (= residential houses), in 1801 23 fireplaces (= households) with 130 inhabitants. In 1840 there were already 26 residential buildings in the village, in 1860 31 residential buildings and 46 farm buildings. However, the place burned down almost completely in 1859. In 1890 the place was connected to the road from Zossen to Groß Schulzendorf , today's L79. In 1908 a road was built between Saalow and Dergischow. In 1900 and 1931 there were 43 residential buildings.

In 1953 a type III LPG was founded in Horstfelde , which in 1955 cultivated 137 hectares of usable area with 14 members. In 1961 the LPG had 70 members and 478 hectares of cultivated land. In 1972 the Cooperative Plant Production Department at Next Neuendorf also took over the agricultural areas of the LPG's Schünow, Horstfelde and Mellensee. The LPG (animal production) Horstfelde remained in the village. The Horstfelde Stud was established in 1991 from a rest farm with 80 hectares, which was managed by the LPG Horstfeld.

Political history

At the time of the first documentary mention, Dergischow belonged to the Zossen rule , which was bought in 1490 by the Brandenburg Elector Johann Cicero and converted into an office. The Zossen office became part of the Teltow district in the course of the 17th century ; it was disbanded in 1872. The district of Teltow existed until 1952, when it was dissolved in the course of the district reform in the former GDR and divided into three smaller districts. At that time Horstfelde came to the district of Zossen (from 1990 to 1993 district of Zossen).

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Horstfelde merged with eleven other municipalities to form the (new) Zossen Office as part of the new municipal constitution of the State of Brandenburg . In 1993, the three old districts of Jüterbog, Luckenwalde and Zossen became the new district of Teltow-Fläming. On December 31, 1997, Glienick, Horstfelde and Schünow merged to form the new (large) community of Glienick. On October 26, 2003 the (large) community Glienick was incorporated into the city of Zossen and dissolved by law. At the same time, the Zossen office was dissolved and the city of Zossen became vacant. Horstfelde, as well as Glienick and Schünow became independent districts within the city of Zossen. Against the dissolution of the (large) community of Glienick and its integration into the non-governmental city of Zossen, the community of Glienick lodged a municipal constitutional complaint in 2003 before the constitutional court of Brandenburg, which was rejected in 2005. The mayor is currently (2012) Mr. Gebhard Rehberg.

Church conditions

Horstfelde does not have its own church and probably never had a church, but was always parish in Zossen. In 1780 the place had to bring 400 roof tiles to the church in Zossen.

Tourism and economy

Horstfelde is a "horse village". In 1991, the Horstfelde stud was created from a rest farm with 80 hectares of usable space, which was managed by the LPG (animal production). There are also two other riding stables in the village.

On the B246 between Horstfelde and Schünow, sand and gravel are extracted in a larger pit. Compared to today's active mining, the old, full of water mining pit is used for water skiing.
