Ekkehard "Ekki" Göpelt (born January 1, 1945 in Nerchau , Grimma district ; † February 25, 2016 in Berlin ) was a German pop singer and presenter .

Life

In the GDR he worked as a teacher for German and music and appeared in public for the first time on June 12, 1965 in the television program Herzklopfen for free with Heinz Quermann .

He has been recording tracks for radio since the 1970s. His first LP Ich bleib am Ball was released in 1988 by Amiga . At the ORB (later RBB ) he moderated the program “ Glückwunschantenne ” until it had to give way to another program. He hosted his own Sunday program, Sonntagsvergnügen , for 14 years for RBB-Welle Antenne Brandenburg .

On September 1, 2008, he gave the go-ahead for the nationwide hit and folk music channel Radio Paloma , where he hosted the show More fun at work from Monday to Friday and more fun on weekends on Saturdays . He also toured the country with presenter, actor and copywriter Michael Niekammer . He was also parodied several times by Oliver Kalkofe , including his title Tapatoo and for his moderation of the Superwirt parade .

His 2010 album Fühl dich gut im Ihr Leben contained titles like I would have loved to have kissed you awake so much , let's go dancing again , stay here a little longer or do you sometimes still dream of me , a cover version of Reality ( Richard Sanderson ) La Boum - The party .

Most recently Ekki Göpelt worked for the radio station Radio B2 in Berlin. He died on February 25, 2016 in the intensive care unit of the UKB in Marzahn of organ failure. On March 18, 2016 Ekki Göpelt was buried in the Resurrection Cemetery in Berlin-Weißensee .
