history

12th to 18th centuries

Bachmühle in Görsdorf

The Dahme / Mark office states on its website that Görsdorf was founded by Flemings around 1200 . Girstorff was first mentioned in a document much later, in 1346. Over the centuries, it developed into a square village , which mainly obtained its economic strength from a single estate. The same applied to the settlements in Liedekahle and Liebsdorf, which were first mentioned in 1356 and 1412 respectively. A stone church was built in the 14th century . As in numerous neighboring towns, Gebersdorf was initially under the direct administration of the Archdiocese of Magdeburg . 1386 the family was from the Dahme with the estate mortgaged . At a later date, the place passed into the possession of those von Schlieben , who donated an altarpiece to the church in 1581 . In 1587 the property went to the von Löser family, who held their headquarters in neighboring Ahlsdorf . After twenty years they transferred the estate to the von Löben family, who ruled until 1694. During this time - from 1635 to 1815 - the place already belonged to the Saxon office of Dahme . The von Rodewitz family has come down to us from the period up to 1702, followed by the von Raschkau family, who held Görsdorf from 1702 to 1796. During this time, a mill was first handed down from a church book from 1745. It probably already existed in the Middle Ages and served as a grinding, fulling, cutting and oil mill.

19th to 21st century

Then the owners changed several times. A distillery was built in 1837, a stable in 1845 and a gatehouse in 1863. From the years 1866/1867 an E. Unsporado has been handed down as the owner of the water mill; The Scharlau family in 1876 and a Ferdinand Seyler from 1880 to 1889. In 1889 the agricultural politician Gustav Roesicke took over the entire estate. The co-founder of the Association of Farmers developed the place into a large agricultural enterprise. A dairy was established under his direction; numerous new potato varieties were grown. The products were delivered to Berlin via a specially built manor railway on the Uckro – Dahme railway line . Roesicke contributed around 50,000 marks to the construction costs. In 1899 the road to Dahme was expanded and in 1908 it was extended to Görsdorf. After his death in 1924, his daughter Paule von Heydebreck took over the business and handed it over to Karl Bürger from Wernigerode in 1937 . It was expropriated after the end of the Second World War and the arable land was distributed to new farmers. Refugees were temporarily housed in the manor house and in the mill. In 1947, on the basis of SMAD Order No. 209, the demolition of the manor began. When it came to a fatal accident at work, the work was stopped. In 1949, a machine rental station opened in the remaining building , which was expanded into a machine tractor station (MTS). On July 1, 1950, the previously independent community of Liebsdorf, and on August 1, 1973, the community of Liedekahle was incorporated. The MTS administration building was used for teaching from 1965 to 1975. The building then served as a boarding school and training center for the Kemlitz / Langengrassau people's estate until 1983. In 1989, a district operation for agricultural engineering opened on the MTS site. After the fall of the Wall , an educational service provider took over the building and trained welders there. During the demolition work in 2005, remains of the foundations of the former loggia were exposed. In 2015, the Werner Kalka Foundation presented its plans to set up an artists' colony in the former manor house. The first exhibition took place in 2016.
