Wildau-Wentdorf is a district of the municipality of Dahmetal in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg .

Wildau-Wentdorf is located in Niederen Fläming about 15 kilometers northwest of Luckau and right on the border with the district of Dahme-Spreewald . Surrounding villages are of the community Drahnsdorf belonging in Dahme-Spreewald Gemeindeteil Schäcksdorf in the north, Drahnsdorf in the Northeast, the Luckauer district Kümmritz in the East, in the municipality Heideblick lying places Pitschen pimple in the southeast and Falkenberg in the south of the city Dahme / Mark belonging place Schlagsdorf in the southwest, Görsdorf in the west and Liedekahle in the northwest.
The district road 6140 and Drahnsdorf to Uckro runs through Wildau-Wentdorf . The national road 71 of Dahme according Leibsch runs about two kilometers north of the map. The Berlin – Dresden railway line runs east of Wildau-Wentdorf .
history
The area around Wildau-Wentdorf was settled around 3,000 years ago, which is proven by archaeological finds and an urn field grave near the Wentdorf district. The area was inhabited by Teutons until around 500 AD , until Slavs settled in Wildau-Wentdorf from the 6th century .
Wildau
Wildau was first mentioned in a document in 1265 as Wildowe and around 1300 as an oppidum , i.e. a city . Since the place was called Windisch Wildaw during the Middle Ages , it is assumed that there must also have been a village with the name Deutsch Wildaw or Deutsch Wildau , which was abandoned in the 15th century.
Wentdorf
Wentdorf is much younger than Wildau, the name appeared in the 17th century for the first time and referred to a desolate fallen Feldmark .
Administrative affiliation
After the Congress of Vienna , the former Saxon villages Wildau and Wentdorf came to the Kingdom of Prussia . On July 25, 1952, the two then still independent places were assigned to the newly formed Luckau district in the Cottbus district . On October 1, 1962, the two villages merged. After the fall of the Wall , Wildau-Wentdorf was in the Luckau district in Brandenburg . On May 25, 1992, the community joined the Dahme / Mark office .
After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Wildau-Wentdorf finally joined the newly formed district of Teltow-Fläming . On December 31, 2001, Wildau-Wentdorf merged with the previously independent communities of Görsdorf and Prensdorf to form the community of Dahmetal .
