Gary Fettis (* 1950 ) is an American production designer in films. He became known through his work for over 30 cinema productions, including films such as The Cradle of the Sun , Forgotten World: Jurassic Park , Letters from Iwo Jima , Gran Torino and Interstellar .

life and work

Gary Fettis, born in 1950, has worked in the film business in various positions since the mid-1970s. He first worked as a carpenter for Francis Ford Coppola's film production The Godfather - Part II , for John Schlesinger's The Day of the Grasshopper or for Alan J. Pakula's Die Untechrecke , later also as a set fitter and prop master for films such as Apocalypse Now , Melvin and Howard , Hammett or Peggy Sue got married .

In 1990 he and Dean Tavoularis produced the sets for Coppola's The Godfather - Part III , for which the two each received an Oscar nomination in the category of best production design .
