Gautier Garrigue

Gautier Garrigue (born December 7, 1987 in Perpignan ) is a French jazz musician ( drums ) of modern jazz .

Live and act

After graduating from the Perpignan Regional Conservatory in 2002, Garrigue moved to Paris in 2007, where he worked in numerous musical collaborations. He has played in the Yuval Amihai Ensemble (with which he won the Tremplin Jazz St Germain des Prés Festival ), in the David Enhco / Roberto Negro Patience Quartet, Sébastien Llado Quartet, Éric Barret Work in Progress Trio, Paul Lay Trio, Jonathan Orland Trio, Nicolas Pfeiffer City Whispers Quintet, Thibault Chevailler Clerks, Remi Meurice Septet, Stéphanie Lemoine Quartet, Logan Richardson Quartet, Renaud Gensane Quintet and in the Florent Nisse Quintet (with Chris Cheek and Jakob Bro ). He was also a member of the Federico Casagrande Quartet and the Flash Pig formations (with Adrien Sanchez, Florent Nisse, Maxime Sanchez) and Kandinsky Effect (with Gael Petrina, Warren Walker), with whom he has released a number of albums since 2010. Further recordings were made from 2014 with the Matthieu Marthouret Bounce Trio ( Small Streams… Big River ).

Since 2017 Garrigue has been a member of the Sand Quintet by Henri Texier ( Sand Woman , with Vincent Lê Quang and Sébastien Texier , Manu Codjia ). He is also a member of the Hélène Labarrière quartet and Dominique Pifarély's Ensemble Dédales .

Garrigue has toured Europe, Asia, Africa and Canada and has given concerts at many renowned festivals such as Jazz in Marciac , North Sea Jazz Festival , Vilnius Jazz Festival , Victoria Jazz Fest, Vancouver Jazz Festival, Koktebeljazz Festival, Nancy Jazz Pulsations , Mulhouse Jazz Festival , Breath Jazz Festival and Belgrade Jazz Festival. In the field of jazz, according to Tom Lord, he was also involved in recording sessions. a. with Joachim Govin , Bruno Schorp , Yuval Amihai, Seamus Blake ( Guardians of the Heart Machine ) and most recently in 2018 with Bastien Ribot ( Violin Standards ).
