Georgi Kharalampiev Kostadinov (also Georgi Haralampiev Kostadinov written, Bulgarian Георги Харалампиев Костадинов ; born March 3, 1950 in Burgas ) is a former Bulgarian boxer. He became Olympic flyweight champion in 1972 and is the first Bulgarian Olympic champion in boxing.

Kostadinow took part in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich . There he won the gold medal in flyweight at the age of 22. He won the semi-finals against the Polish champions from 1971, Leszek Błażyński , and in the final against the Ugandan bronze medalist from 1968 in Mexico City, Leo Rwabwogo .

Kostadinov also won the Eastern Bloc Military Championships in 1971 and the Balkan Championships in 1972. In 1976 he took part in the Olympic Games in Montreal , but was eliminated in the round of 16 against Alfredo Perez, Venezuela (5-0).

After the games, Georgi Kostadinow graduated from the Bulgarian National Sports Academy in Sofia and became a coach in his hometown club BK Chernomorets Burgas . In the 1980s he briefly worked as a boxing trainer in Iraq . 2000 was made an honorary citizen of his hometown.

Since 2007 Kostadinow has been responsible for the cooperation with the sports clubs of the city of Burgas in the Burgas municipality .
