The judicial district of Gastein was a judicial district subordinate to the district court of Gastein in the federal state of Salzburg . The judicial district comprised the southeastern part of the district of St. Johann im Pongau and the Gastein Valley .
history
The judicial district Gastein was created together with 22 other judicial districts in Salzburg by a decree of the kk Oberlandesgericht Linz on July 4, 1850 and originally comprised the ten tax communities Böckstein , Dorfgastein , Harrbach , Heissingfelding , Hofgastein , Klamstein , Remsach , Vorderschneeberg , Wieden and Wildbadgastein .
In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district together with the judicial districts of Radstadt , Sankt Johann im Pongau and Werfen formed the district of St. Johann im Pongau .
By amalgamating parishes, the number of parishes was reduced to just three parishes by the second half of the 20th century.
As a result of the “District Court Ordinance Salzburg” passed in 2002, the Gastein judicial district was dissolved on January 1, 2003 and merged with the Sankt Johann im Pongau judicial district.
Courthouse
Before the dissolution, the judicial district of Gastein comprised the three municipalities Bad Gastein , Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein .
