The judicial district of Neumarkt bei Salzburg is a judicial district in the state of Salzburg that is subordinate to the district court of Neumarkt am Wallersee . The judicial district is one of eight in the state and includes the northeastern part of the Salzburg-Umgebung district .

history

The judicial district Neumarkt was created together with 22 other judicial districts in Salzburg by a decree of the kk Oberlandesgericht Linz on July 4, 1850 and originally comprised the 20 tax communities Bruckmoos , Brunn , Haselreith , Henndorf , Hof , Irrsdorf , Köstendorf , Marschallen , Matzing , Mödlham , Neufahren , Neumarkt (castle keep ) , Neumarkt (municipality) , Seekirchen (castle keep ) , Seekirchen (municipality) , Seewalchen , Straßwalchen (municipality) , Straßwalchen (castle keep) , Tödtleinsdorf and Waldprechting .

In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district together with the judicial districts Abtenau , Golling , Hallein , Mattsee , Oberndorf , Salzburg and Sankt Gilgen formed the district of Salzburg .

Through the amalgamation of municipalities, the number of municipalities was reduced to the five municipalities of Henndorf am Wallersee , Köstendorf , Neumarkt am Wallersee , Seekirchen am Wallersee and Straßwalchen until the second half of the 20th century .

The “District Court Ordinance Salzburg” passed in 2002 extended the judicial district of Neumarkt bei Salzburg as part of the reorganization of the judicial district of Salzburg to include the four communities Mattsee , Obertrum am See , Schleedorf and Seeham .

On July 1, 2022, the previous district court districts of Neumarkt, Oberndorf and Thalgau will be dissolved and merged into a central district court at the new Seekirchen am Wallersee location .
