The judicial district of Werfen was a judicial district in the state of Salzburg that was subordinate to the Werfen District Court . The judicial district comprised the northwestern part of the St. Johann im Pongau district .
history
The judicial district Werfen was created together with 22 other judicial districts in Salzburg by a decree of the kk Oberlandesgericht Linz on July 4, 1850 and originally comprised the 15 tax communities " Bischofhofen , Buchberg , Grub , Haidberg , Hüttau , Mühlbach , Reitsam , Scharten , Sonnhalb , Sulzau , Werfen (village) , Werfen (market) , Werfenweng , Wim , Winkel “.
In the course of the separation of the political from the judicial administration from 1868, the judicial district together with the judicial districts Gastein , Radstadt and Sankt Johann im Pongau formed the district of St. Johann im Pongau .
On January 1, 1936, the community of Sonnberg, located in the Radstadt judicial district, was merged with Hüttau to form the Hüttau community, whereby both parts of the community became part of the Radstadt judicial district at the beginning of 1936.
Through the amalgamation of parishes, the number of parishes was reduced to just five parishes until the second half of the 20th century.
The Werfen judicial district was dissolved by the “Salzburg District Courts Ordinance” passed in 2002 and merged with the Sankt Johann im Pongau judicial district on January 1, 2003.
