Gerlmühle is the name of a hydropower plant on the Isar in the urban area of Landshut on a mill cut through to the Kleiner Isar .
history
A mill is said to have stood on the site of the power plant as early as 1433. The Gerlmühle had been family-owned since 1832 and was rebuilt in 1924 with the installation of a power plant turbine. The new hydropower plant built by Stadtwerke Landshut to replace the demolished Gerlmühle went into operation in 1984. The power is 750 kW. The modernization and automation of the electrotechnical and mechanical systems has been underway since 2016.
