The Altheim power plant is a run-of-river power plant on the Isar

The 1951 opened power plant is located in Altheim , a hamlet in the district Ohu the community Essenbach in Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . The power plant is operated by Uniper Kraftwerke GmbH . The electrical output of the power plant is 17.8 MW.

The Altheim substation is located directly adjacent to the power plant .

Immediately above the weir on the left, the Längenmühlbach is first piped underground from the Isar. On September 21, 2015 a newly built fish pass was officially put into operation.
