The Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium is a high school in the district of Stuttgart-Sillenbuch , Baden-Württemberg . It was inaugurated in 1976 . The school has 954 students and 87 teachers. This makes it one of the largest schools and the largest state high school in Stuttgart.

Eighth grade elective

Unlike many other high schools in Stuttgart can be at Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium at the end of seventh grade next to the subjects of science and technology , and Latin and Portuguese choose a profile subject.

Exchange and school trip

Sixth grade students visit Aschau am Chiemsee ( Germany , Bavaria ) on a class trip , and seventh grade students also visit Strasbourg ( France ) on a one-day excursion . An exchange with the "Collège Albert Camus" in Montbazon (France) or a trip to Herne Bay ( England ) where the students are accommodated in host families is organized for eighth grade students. For tenth grade students who have chosen Portuguese as a school subject, there is a student exchange with a Brazilian school and a school in Lisbon ( Portugal ). Another exchange takes place in the tenth grade with Lindbergh High School in St. Louis ( USA ) or a school in Chicago.

Events

There is an investment department at the school as part of the student council . Every school year, this organizes four lower-level discos for grades five to seven. In 2019 a GSG spring ball took place at the GSG. Also in 2019 a school musical with the name "Nur Dreamed" took place. Songs of the "Neue Deutsche Welle" formed the basis of this piece.
