Giumàglio is a village and district of the municipality of Maggia in the Maggia district in the Vallemaggia district of the Swiss canton of Ticino . Until April 4, 2004 Giumàglio was an independent municipality.

The place is located on the right side of the Maggia river about 13 kilometers north of Locarno , at an altitude of 360 mslm and is now part of the municipality of Maggia , which was founded in April 4, 2004 .
