The Gmina Ćmielów ( ) is a city-and-rural municipality in the powiat Ostrowiecki of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 3000 inhabitants.
geography
The district town of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski is about ten kilometers to the west. One of the waters is the Kamienna , a tributary to the Vistula .
The community is surrounded by seven communities. Starting in the north, they are clockwise: Bałtów , Tarłów , Ożarów , Wojciechowice , Opatów , Sadowie and Bodzechów .

traffic
The voivodship road DW755 runs through the municipality and the main town, it leads to Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski in the west and to the national road DK9 ( European route 371 ) and to the east to DK79 . The nearest international airport is Rzeszów about 100 kilometers southeast of the city.
The Ćmielów service station is on the Łódź – Dębica railway line .
