The Gmina Ożarów Mazowiecki is an urban-and-rural municipality in the powiat Warszawski Zachodni in the Masovian Voivodeship in Poland . The district town and seat of the municipality is the town of the same name with around 11,700 inhabitants.

The municipality borders on the state capital Warsaw to the east . Your area is almost unforested.
history
The Gmina Ożarów was different in 1954 Gromadas converted. The place Ozarów-Franciszków received in 1967 as Ożarów Mazowiecki city rights . In 1973 the Gromadas were dissolved and the rural community re-established. From 1975 to 1998 the municipal area belonged to the greatly reduced Warsaw Voivodeship . The powiat Pruszkowski was dissolved during this time.
Urban and rural communities were merged to form urban and rural communities in 1990/1991. Since 1999, it has belonged to the Masovian Voivodeship and Powiat Warszawski Zachodni, which were newly formed. On January 1, 2006 the headquarters of the Powiat was relocated from Warsaw to Ożarów Mazowiecki.

traffic
The community has a convenient location. The Konotopa motorway junction is located on their territory . There are driveways to the A2 motorway and the S2 and S8 / S7 expressways . The national road DK92 from Frankfurt (Oder) to Warsaw runs through the municipality from west to east.
The Ożarów Mazowiecki station and the Płochocin stop are on the Warsaw – Poznan – Berlin line .
The nearest international airport is Warsaw (WAW) , the Warsaw-Babice airport is only a few kilometers away.
