The Gmina Rzezawa is a rural community in the powiat Bocheński of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Your seat is the village of the same name with about 2750 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located 40 km east of Kraków and borders the municipalities of the cities of Bochnia and Brzesko . The river Gróbka belongs to the waters . The municipality has an area of 85.48 km², 67 percent of which is used for agriculture and 27 percent for forestry.
history
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Tarnów Voivodeship .

The eleven villages with school administration offices (sołectwa) belong to the rural community :
Borek, Bratucice , Buczków, Dąbrówka, Dębina, Jodłówka, Krzeczów , Łazy, Okulice, Ostrów Królewski and Rzezawa .
traffic
The state road DK4 from Jędrzychowice to Korczowa and the railway line Kraków - Rzeszów run through the municipality . The status of DK4 as part of Europastraße 40 will be transferred to Autostrada 4 after completion . The Autostrada runs through the municipality.
