The Gmina Stężyca is a rural municipality in the powiat Kartuski of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name ( German Stendsitz , formerly Stendzitz , Adlig Stendsitz ; Kashubian Stãżëca ) with about 2100 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located north of the city of Kościerzyna (Berent) in Kashubian Switzerland in the former West Prussia . Kartuzy (Karthaus) is twenty and Gdańsk 50 kilometers away. The Jezioro Raduńskie Górne (Radaune Lake) , the Jezioro Stężyckie (Stenditz Lake) and other lakes extend over the municipality .

The municipality is connected to the railway network via the Gołubie Kaszubskie station and the Krzeszna and Wieżyca stops on the Nowa Wieś Wielka – Gdynia railway line.
