Greg Collins (born February 14, 1986 in Rochester , New York ) is an American ice hockey player who has played in the position of striker for the Eindhoven Kemphanen in the Eredivisie , the highest Dutch league, since July 2012 . His brother Chris is also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
Collins began his career with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, through which he was drafted into the United States Hockey League in 2003 . In his first season he was already a regular player and scored 34 points in 57 games. After two years he moved to the team at the University of New Hampshire for which he was on the ice for a total of four years in the National Collegiate Athletic Association , before he moved to the farm team of the Phoenix Coyotes in the ECHL .
In July 2011 it was announced that he was moving to SC Riessersee in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey , among other things on the advice of player agent Steve Bartlett (father of Scott Bartlett , who played for SC Riessersee last season) and the former SC Riessersee Player Kevin Kapstad , with whom he played together in New Hampshire.
In July 2012, Collins moved to the Dutch team Eindhoven Kemphanen .
