Grand Prix of Styria (motorcycle)
The Styrian Grand Prix for motorcycles is a motorcycle race for the motorcycle world championship .
It took place on August 23, 2020 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg , Austria .
history
Due to the rampant COVID-19 pandemic , various races of the 2020 Motorcycle World Championship have been canceled or postponed. At the beginning of June 2020, Dorna Sports , the organizer of the world championship, published a revised racing calendar u. a. with two races within a week in Spielberg.
After the classes Moto2 and Moto3 at the Grand Prix of Qatar already on March 8 had extended their first World Championship race, the July 19 by-19 COVID shortened season started with the Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuito de Jerez . The Austrian Grand Prix is planned for August 16, 2020 at the Red Bull Ring and the Styrian Grand Prix is to take place at the same location on the following weekend.
