Guillon is a village and a former French community with 427 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Burgundy ). It belonged to the arrondissement of Avallon and the canton of Chablis (until 2015 canton of Guillon ).
With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Guillon , Cisery , Sceaux , Trévilly and Vignes were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Guillon-Terre-Plaine , where they have the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Guillon.
geography
Guillon is located about 50 kilometers southeast of Auxerre on the Serein . The municipality of Guillon was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Talcy in the north, Santigny in the northeast, Vignes in the east and northeast, Toutry in the east and southeast, Savigny-en-Terre-Plaine in the south, Cisery in the west and southwest, Trévilly in the west and Montréal in the Northwest.
The A6 autoroute runs along the southern edge of the Commune déléguée .
