Hüelte is a district of Eschweiler south of the Inde in the eastern urban area near Weisweiler . Hüelte forms a twin city district with the historically younger Wilhelmshöhe . Hüelte has belonged to Eschweiler in the Aachen city region since 1972, and before that to Weisweiler in the Düren district . The place name is written "Heucheln" on a Prussian map from 1846.

Since the end of 2005, the rerouted B264 has passed directly on the outskirts. The next motorway junction is "Eschweiler-Ost" on the A 4 .

The next Euregiobahn stop is "Eschweiler-Weisweiler".

The AVV bus routes 28 and 52 connect Hüchel with Wilhelmshöhe, Weisweiler and “Eschweiler Bushof” via the “Hüchelner Straße” stop.

Roman finds

On August 23, 1986 a Roman settlement from the 3rd to 1st centuries BC was established. Found on the outskirts of Huecheln: at least three stone houses, wooden buildings and a large pillar structure. The settlement "Im Römerfeld" stands on the remains of a magnificent Roman house .
