Waldschule settlement or forest settlement for short is a district of Eschweiler in the Aachen city region in North Rhine-Westphalia . The settlement forms its own constituency and is administratively counted as a pump-stitch . It is located in a heathland between the Eschweiler Stadtwald in the east, the city limits to Stolberg (Rhld.) In the west, the Inde in the north and the Donnerberg barracks Eschweiler in the south. The settler home of the settlement community is located at the corner of Heidestrasse and Moosweg.

The Steinfurt heathland is designated as a nature reserve ACK-034.

history

Construction work began in March 1949 with 87 settler positions, the first groundbreaking on April 4, 1950 by the then Eschweiler Mayor Bücken. The evangelical aid organization took over the sponsorship. The Waldschule settlement was named after the former forest school.
