Cooperation with other schools

The HTL Mössingerstraße maintains partnerships with the following schools and institutions:

  • Austria - BRG Mössingerstraße Klagenfurt . A "cooperation class" is run together with the BRG Mössingerstraße. In the course of this project, students in the lower grades of the Bundesrealgymnasium get an insight into the technology. The focus is on the subjects of mathematics, natural sciences and the workshop laboratory. The high school students acquire practical skills in mechanical engineering and electronics through “learning by doing”.
  • Austria - Kindergartens in Klagenfurt . Schoolchildren at HTL Mössingerstraße look after kindergarten children and work on small technical projects together.
  • Italy - Istituto Salesiani Bearzi Udine
  • Italy - Istituto Professionale per l'Industria e l'Artigianato "Galileo Galilei" Castelfranco Veneto
  • Croatia - Gimnazija ecumicica Opatija
  • Hungary - Râkóczi Ferene Gimnâzium Budapest

Environmental projects

Electric charging station at the school

In cooperation with the company Energie Klagenfurt GmbH (EKG), an electric charging station was planned and put into operation on the school grounds. The petrol station has an integrated payment system as well as customer-friendly operation via touchscreen.

School solar system

A solar park was also set up in the workshop area for training purposes.

Events

The “Technician Ball” has been organized by the high school graduates together with the graduate association since the 2014/2015 school year.

The “Open Day” usually takes place at the beginning of January and gives visitors an overview of everyday school life. In the laboratory area, the high school graduates present their projects at this event.

In order to strengthen the cooperation with companies in the Carinthian area, the company day takes place every year in April , on the one hand numerous companies present themselves with lectures and stands and on the other hand prospective graduates can recommend themselves to the companies by presenting their final projects.

With the Girls 'Practice Days , which offer schoolgirls an insight into everyday training at a technical school on several days a year, an attempt is made to arouse girls' interest in such a career path.

In 2011 and 2012, AndroidTag took place, in which pupils as well as other schools, institutes and companies could take part in order to maintain an exchange in the areas of development, marketing and application of mobile apps .
