Hans Conrad Fischer

Hans Conrad Fischer (born March 11, 1926 in Berchtesgaden ) is a German director and film producer .

Life

Hans Conrad Fischer comes from the family of Kommerzienrats Fischer, from the estate of the former district of Berchtesgaden , the Adelsheim Castle acquired and in 1968 opened the museum. The power station in Marktschellenberg is still owned by the family.

Fischer made his first directorial debut as early as 1952. Two years later he successfully completed his studies in philosophy, German, theater studies, art history and newspaper studies at the University of Munich with a dissertation on the Salzburg Festival and was thus awarded a Dr. phil. PhD .

Between 1955 and 1961 he headed the literature and radio play department of the ORF regional studio in Salzburg . He also took on the artistic direction of the record series Great Actors - Immortal Poetry . In 1961 Fischer founded his company, Fischer Film- und Fernsehproduktion (FFF).

His international breakthrough came in 1967 with the film The Life of Mozart . The death of his daughter Cornelia , who called herself “Nela” as a painter and who died of leukemia in 1977 at the age of 23 , was the basis for his film Nela. The story of a painter . His film work also flowed into literary works, some of which were translated into several languages.

Hans Conrad Fischer was recently mentioned in the Berchtesgadener Anzeiger in 2012 on the occasion of a reading and in 2017 on the occasion of an honor for long-term members of the Berchtesgaden Alpine Club section , where he was honored for his 70-year membership.
