Hans-Peter "Bidu" Zaugg (born December 2, 1952 in Bern ) is a former Swiss football player and today's football coach .

From 1990 he was employed by the Swiss Football Association. He became known as an assistant coach to the national coaches Roy Hodgson , Artur Jorge , Rolf Fringer and Gilbert Gress . In 2000 he was also an interim trainer himself for a short time.

Zaugg then worked as a trainer for the Zurich Grasshoppers for one season and won the Swiss championship with them. His successor was Marcel Koller . From the summer of 2002 he was a year-long coach at FC Luzern , relegated to the Challenge League with the Central Switzerland team . From 2003 to October 17, 2005, Zaugg worked for BSC Young Boys in Bern . In January 2006 he was elected sports director of Xamax Neuchâtel . In December 2006 he signed a contract as Liechtenstein's national coach and thus succeeded Martin Andermatt . At the end of July 2011, he extended his contract prematurely to June 2013. However, the Liechtenstein Football Association and Zaugg terminated the contract early at the end of October 2012 on December 31, 2012 by mutual agreement.

He has been head coach at FC Solothurn since December 2, 2015. In 2017 he was appointed head of sports.
