The Harbecke flows parallel to the Orke tributary Medebach, which runs a little further south-west through the village . A little after crossing under the L 617 ( Korbacher Strasse ; Hillershausen –Medebach– Medelon ), it passes the Holtischer Weg industrial area southwest of the brook .

Slightly to the east of the industrial park , the Harbecke flows into the Brühne Orke tributary , which comes from the north at the Brühne-kilometer 3.4 at around 367  m above sea level is; To the east of its mouth, and thus beyond the Brühne, are the Aarstruth forest areas .
