Harold Perrineau, Jr.
Harold Perrineau, Jr. (born August 7, 1963 in Brooklyn , New York City ; actually Harold Williams ) is an American actor .
Life
Perrineau studied music and theater at the Shenandoah Conservatory . He became known through his appearances in the films of the Matrix series and also on the side of Leonardo DiCaprio in William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet (1996) as Mercutio .
He began his career in the film business with a role in the television series Fame - The Road to Fame in 1986/1987.
From 2004 to 2006 Perrineau played the role of Michael Dawson in the US television series Lost . Together with the ensemble cast of this drama series, he won the 2006 Screen Actors Guild Awards . In early 2008 he returned to Lost . In 2012 he stood next to Nicolas Cage in the thriller Pact of Vengeance . Also that year Perrineau starred in the fifth season of Sons of Anarchy , in which he played the role of gang boss Damon Pope . From 2012 to 2013 he played one of the leading roles in the television series Wedding Band .
Perrineau has been married to actress Brittany Perrineau since 2002, with whom he has three daughters. The oldest, Aurora Perrineau, works as a model and actress.
