Heinrich of St. Gallen (Abbot)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Heinrich von St. Gallen (* 13th century ; † August 7, 1324 in Wettingen ) was clergyman and abbot of Wettingen Abbey .

Nothing is known about his origin, but the attribute “from St. Gallen” should describe his homeland. There is evidence of his admission as a conventual in Wettingen in 1304 and as a prior in 1310. Since April 1316 Heinrich has been regularly mentioned as abbot.
