Heischeid is a village in the Reichshof community in the Oberbergischer Kreis in the North Rhine-Westphalian administrative district of Cologne in Germany .

Location and description

Heischeid is located west of the Wiehltalsperre , the nearest centers are Gummersbach (31 km northwest), Cologne (65 km west) and Siegen (48 km southeast).

The place was mentioned for the first time in 1487: “The Kremer of Hyschyt is in the loan list for Hz. Wilhelm III. v. Called a mountain. "
