First mention
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1467 . "Hannes vom Velde witnessed a border circumvention (in the Arnold Mercator map 1575 and later the place is called Konincks Vell )."

Churches
The chapel of the Holy Family was built in Feld in 1956-57 according to plans by the Cologne architect Hans Schilling ; it belongs to the parish of St. Mary's Assumption in Wiehl .
