Alice Ertlbauer-Camerer wrote in her laudation on the occasion of the award of the Upper Austrian Culture Prize : “Stylistically, in the eyes of the jury, Rogl is characterized by solid sound-setting craft - a skill that is no longer a matter of course - paired with a sure sense of formal context. Rogl's first performed chamber music works show that clear voice guidance that makes it easier for the listener to grasp his music. In this sense, Rogl sees himself as a representative of the polyphonic style, whose harmonic structure always has a tonal center. "

Compositions

Rogl created around 50 compositions, from solo pieces to chamber music to orchestral and stage works, as well as electronic music and film music . In addition to the human voice, the cello is strongly represented. His friendship with the cellist Martin Rummel inspired him to write a number of works for cello, and he also composed for Róbert Nagy .

Works a.o. a. for the Munich Philharmonic , Vienna Chamber Symphony , Vienna Chamber Orchestra , Bruckner Orchestra Linz , Budapest String Soloists, Pro Brass , Diagonal Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Sonare and Martin Rummel .
