Herbert Geisberger (born January 10, 1985 in Bad Aibling ) is a former German ice hockey player who last played with the Blue Devils Weiden in the major league .

Player career

Geisberger began his career in the offspring of Starbulls Rosenheim , where he was active with the junior team in the German junior league from 2000 . During the 2002/03 season he played his first three games for the senior team of the Starbulls, which was then active in the fourth-class regional league. After another season in Rosenheim , in which he made 26 regional league games and scored 29 scorer points, he moved to the German ice hockey league to the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg .

With the Wolfsburg team , Geisberger was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the season . The striker was able to score twice in a total of 53 DEL games. Geisberger stayed in Wolfsburg for two more years and celebrated the championship of the 2nd Bundesliga with the club in 2007. He then left the club and joined the Mosquitoes Essen , who provided him with a one-year contract. Since the mosquitoes had to file for bankruptcy in the summer of 2008 and consequently continued their game operations in the Regionalliga, he moved to SC Bietigheim-Bissingen, with whom he won the championship of the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2009/10 season he signed a contract with Deggendorf Fire , where he was the best scorer of his team with 35 points. After a season in Deggendorf, he returned to the league newcomers Moskitos Essen. In the summer of 2011 he signed a contract with the Selber Wölfen .

Between October 2018 and March 2020 he was under contract with the southern upper division EV Weiden before ending his career.
