Herbertshofen with the Dintenhofen residential area is one of 17 suburbs of the large district town of Ehingen (Danube) in the Alb-Danube district in Baden-Württemberg . The place was incorporated into Ehingen in 1973. The head of the village is Renate Hänle.

history

In 1220 the village was first mentioned in documents as "Herbrehshoven". The Lords of Gundelfingen handed over the local rule to the monastery of St. Georgen in the Black Forest . The monastery then transferred the bailiwick over the place to the Counts of Dillingen . In 1413, however, the monastery reacquired the bailiwick. Later, as in several other villages around Ehingen, the sovereignty came to Austria. The city of Ehingen exercised high and blood jurisdiction in this constellation. From 1805 on, Herbertshofen belonged to the Kingdom of Württemberg .

On December 1, 1973 Herbertshofen was incorporated into Ehingen with Dintenhofen.
