history

The first reliable mention of the village comes from the year 1324. The place belonged to the Counts of Berg . Together with Ehingen, Schelklingen and Berg , Heufelden's sovereignty passed to Austria in 1343. Under this it had different masters. The high and blood judiciary was with the city of Ehingen. The lower jurisdiction was divided among several owners. In 1805 Heufelden was given to the Kingdom of Württemberg .

The village chapel was first mentioned in 1374. It was always a branch of the Ehingen parish of St. Blasius and is dedicated to St. Gangolf . The lower part of the tower is said to come from the first chapel building in the 14th century.

With the Blienshofen residential area, Heufelden has belonged to Ehingen since October 1, 1972.
