Hermann Hiesgen

Hermann Hiesgen (born July 17, 1912 in Hagen , † May 19, 1978 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Hermann Hiesgen first studied theater studies in Cologne and then attended the Folkwang drama school in Essen . Through engagements in Hagen , Düsseldorf , Warburg and Kleve , he came to Das Meininger Theater in 1954 and was further shaped here by directors such as Fritz Bennewitz and Friedo Solter . During a guest performance of the Meiningen Theater in 1958 with the Brecht -Stück The Threepenny Opera at the Berliner Ensemble , left several actors, including Hermann Hiesgen, such a strong impression that they were occupied later in the Berliner Ensemble already short time. In 1961 he was permanently engaged here.

He mostly stood in front of the camera for television productions.

He was married to Elfriede Hiesgen, who moved with him to Meiningen in 1954 and later followed him to Berlin. In 1962 she became the well-known canteen landlady in the Maxim Gorki Theater .
