Hilde Katrine Engeli (born August 4, 1988 in Lillehammer ) is a former Norwegian snowboarder . It starts in the parallel disciplines.

Career

Engeli drove her first World Cup race in Bardonecchia in March 2004 , which she finished in 15th place in snowboard cross. She had her first international success at the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2004 in Oberwiesenthal . There she won bronze in snowboard cross. At the Snowboard World Championships 2005 in Whistler , 19th place in the parallel slalom was her best result. At the Snowboard World Championships 2007 in Arosa , she finished 42nd in the parallel slalom and 41st in the parallel giant slalom. In January 2008 she reached her first top ten placement in the World Cup with seventh place in the parallel giant slalom in La Molina . Two months later she won silver in the parallel slalom and gold in the parallel giant slalom at the 2008 Junior Snowboarding World Championships in Valmalenco . At the Snowboard World Championships 2009 she came in 27th place in the parallel giant slalom and 12th place in the parallel slalom. In January 2011 she won gold in the parallel slalom at the 2011 Snowboard World Championships in La Molina. At the Snowboard World Championships 2013 in Stoneham she finished fourth in the parallel slalom and the parallel giant slalom. In March 2013 she won her first World Cup victory in the parallel giant slalom in Arosa. At her first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , she achieved 28th place in the parallel slalom and 19th place in the parallel giant slalom. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , she finished 23rd in the parallel giant slalom and 11th in the parallel slalom. In March 2015 she won her second World Cup race in the parallel slalom in Winterberg .

Engeli started at 91 World Cup races and was placed in the top ten 12 times and ended her active career after the 2015/16 season.
