Hintertupfinger Grand Prix ( Flåklypa Grand Prix ) is a Norwegian stop-motion puppet cartoon directed by Ivo Caprino from 1975, based on characters by Kjell Aukrust . With 5.5 million tickets sold, it is considered Norway's most successful film, with a population of 4.7 million.
action
The film is about the inventor Reodor Felgen and his helpers, who carry out a car race against their thieving competitor. To do this, they build the Il Tempo Gigante racing car, sponsored by an oil sheikh , which is equipped with all sorts of James Bond-like extras, including an 800-hp V12 engine under the front hood that serves as a starter for the actual, reactor-like engine in the rear . While real racing drivers often noted their blood type on their helmets in the 1970s, the Il Tempo Gigante crew brought their own blood products with them to be on the safe side, including blue blood (Norway is a monarchy).
Remarks
A real and, thanks to the American big block V8 engine, loud, oversized vehicle was also built and presented for promotional purposes at the Hockenheimring and other racetracks, among other places . However , the film crew did not set up a village called Hintertupfingen . The real vehicle of Il Tempo Gigante is now in Hunderfossen family park of the village Fåberg north of Lillehammer in the province ( Fylke ) Oppland and can be visited there.
Continuation
With the same main characters in the lead role and in the same universe as well as partly the same Norwegian voice actors, the cartoon Sonny, the Ent detective (Solan, Ludvig og Gurin med reverompa) was produced in Norway in 1998 .
